Marvel Players across the board have finally got to experience some waves of meta changes after updates through 2 seasons now. This is an exciting part of gaming. Instead of reading up on what’s going on with reality, we need our patch notes. Every chapter of meta changes takes playable characters and tweaks them according to data collected from past seasons playthroughs. Factors influencing these changes range from Mainstream streamers, high level competitive play, casual player inputs, and obvious bugs that simply need to be resolved. All players will never totally agree of disagree with these variations, but developers are focused on making a playable game more playable if that makes sense. Still, there are always heroes or characters that shine as Overpowered.
Squirrel Girl happens to be one of those characters. She’s an S tier option that many say is easy to play. While this is hardly debatable, there are some things to note to decipher the difference between a high level Squirrel girl character, and a low level squirrel girl player.
While many troll and say all you gotta do is aim and shoot, ricochet of walls, and bounce around to outplay anyone, there’s so much more to it that many don’t see. Getting into the physics behind her gameplay can unveil an array of strategies that often times trick opponents. Also, some of these tricks can be difficult to pull off. For example, did you know you can shoot an opponent with two acorns at the same time? It’s basic trigonometry. Think of an isosceles triangle. Now thing of the arc in squirrel girls projectile nuts. What do you think would happen if you fire a nut into the air then fire a nut straight at the enemies face? With good timing you can double tap an enemy with two heads shots. Talk about a surprise!! That’s 220 hp knocked off the health bar without any type of damage boost. Mastering this skill is the difference between a gold Squirrel Girl and a Grand Master Squirrel Girl. Having trouble with a Spiderman? Why? Go into a closed room and start spraying. With either luck or concentration, he’s not gonna live. In a closed area, it’s possible to hit an enemy with 3 acorns at one time. Oh an guess what? you don’t even have to be in the room.
Such a fun character. Easily called a cheat code due to her ability to shine against most team comps. I personally resort to her when I am stumped and can’t think of any counters. What do you guys think about the recent meta changes, and how have they affected your gameplay?
